The Allen Morris Company announced today that Spindrift Concepts, a Clayton Miller food hall and restaurant, has become a new tenant at Maitland City Centre, the first true urban, live/work community and destination in the Orlando suburb of Maitland, Florida. This follows Miller’s successful and popular downtown Orlando concept, DoveCote.
Clayton Miller’s Spindrift Concepts is set to open a 4,593 square foot food hall with restaurant at the transformative US$68 million mixed-use project, a joint venture between The Allen Morris Company, Lamm & Company Partners and Millenia Partners.
“Opening a food hall and restaurant in Maitland City Centre is an opportunity to deliver a new concept and culinary experience to the community for everyone to enjoy,” said Clayton Miller, Chef and Manager of Spindrift Concepts. “We are still in the process of developing the details for the food hall as we want the mix of occupants to function well together and play off of each to create fun, approachable food options.”
Maitland City Centre’s additional tenants to-date include Starbucks, Renaissance Med Spa (which will offer a complete menu of pampering spa services), Nava Pets and Subways.
Located at the crossroads of Maitland’s City Hall and the bustling, new pedestrian-friendly Festival Street, the project will be a metropolitan oasis in Maitland where people can enjoy a live, work and play lifestyle and sense of community.
When complete, Maitland City Centre will offer approximately 35,000 square feet of prime rentable retail and restaurant space within a six-story building that encompasses a three-acre full city block with bustling sidewalks, trendy dining venues, high-end retail establishments and everyday conveniences making the project not only a lifestyle, but also a destination.
“We are honored to bring a unique retail experience to Maitland and Central Florida overall,” said W. Allen Morris, Chairman and CEO of The Allen Morris Company. “Maitland City Centre’s ideal location and retail offerings will be a positive catalyst and gathering place for people in the community to enjoy while celebrating Maitland’s history.”
Designed to embody the Mission-style architectural features inspired by the Cultural Corridor and City Hall, Maitland City Centre will be comprised of 220 one- and two-bedroom stylish rental apartments and 24 live/work units that seamlessly incorporate contemporary design and refined elegance throughout while being complemented by resort-like amenities.
Maitland City Centre is slated for completion in 2018 and marks The Allen Morris Company’s 82nd development.
