Distinctive mix of dining experiences total 7,443 square feet at the transformative mixed-use community.

The Allen Morris Company, one of the largest diversified real estate firms in the southeast, today announced that Boku Sushi – an artfully crafted sushi, Omakase and sashimi dining experience; locally-owned restaurant, Dixie Belle’s Café; and Cookit World, LLC – an innovative prepared food concept, have become new tenants at Maitland City Centre. The three new leases total 7,443 square feet at the first urban, live/work community and destination in the Orlando suburb of Maitland, Florida.

Leasing 2,000 square feet of space at Maitland City Centre, Boku Sushi was founded by Chef Tim Liu, who has inspired and captivated his clients for over 10 years at Mikado Sushi & Grill in MetroWest, Hunters Creek and Lake Mary.  Boku Sushi in Maitland City Centre will be Chef Liu’s newest opening of the highest quality sashimi, Omakase, and sushi.  An art cultivated by freshness and quality, where ingredients must be selected carefully in order to fill the presentation and flavor of the dish, Boku Sushi’s ingredients are selected from Tokyo Tsukiji market to the Sea of New Zealand. Chef Tim Liu has earned a reputation among his community and peers as a chef dedicated to his canvas, an artist and educator of food filled with flavor, fusion and quality. Boku Sushi will also offer al fresco dining in the shaded paseo opening to the activity of Independence Lane.

Dixie Belle’s Cafe, a family-owned business with a more than 11 years presence in Orlando, is set to lease 4,311 square feet of restaurant space at Maitland City Centre, bringing all-American cuisine featuring delicious traditional delights for families to enjoy. Known as the ‘home of the sweet potatoes biscuit,” the restaurant’s menu consists of breakfast, lunch and dinner specials, along with old fashioned homemade desserts. The café will offer seating in a shaded garden courtyard with fountains and trees with bistro lights.

Cookit World, LLC is set to occupy 1,132 square feet of space at Maitland City Centre. The world kitchen features an abundant assortment of tasty and healthy recipes to facilitate mealtime preparations with their innovative CooKit meal kit. Cookit World, LLC’s mission is to become the lead provider of wholesome fresh foods from around the world at an affordable price that is readily accessible and creates an enjoyable cooking experience. Cookit World, LLC will offer a whole new level of healthy lifestyle convenience for residents at Maitland City Centre.

“We are delighted to welcome all three tenants to Maitland City Centre for residents and the overall Orlando community to enjoy,” said W. Allen Morris, Chairman and CEO of The Allen Morris Company. “Opening these distinctive dining concepts that range from the highest quality sushi to traditional American-styled cuisine and a world kitchen concept in Maitland City Centre is the perfect opportunity to introduce unique offerings that redefines the Maitland community, gives residents and visitors a superb quality of life and that give residents these innovative and diverse dining experiences an elevator ride away every day!”

ACRE Commercial Real Estate represented the landlord in the three transactions.  ACRE represented Dixie Belle’s Cafe and Cookit World, LLC and Candace Stottle, with Grey Brokerage, represented Boku Sushi.

“As we come to wrapping up the leasing at Maitland City Center with final leases being signed, it is exciting to see the initial vision we had for this project come together. We feel we have created a retail and restaurant tenant mix that the community, the city and its visitors will be proud of and can enjoy for years to come,” added Willow Shambeck, Managing Partner, ACRE Commercial.

Maitland City Centre’s additional tenants to-date include Starbucks, Renaissance Med Spa (which will offer a complete menu of pampering spa services), Medici’s Pizza, Burgerim Gourmet Burgers, 407 Gelato, Bam Barre and Subways.

Located at the crossroads of Maitland’s City Hall and the bustling, new pedestrian-friendly Independence Lane, the project is a metropolitan oasis in Maitland where people can enjoy a live, work and play lifestyle and sense of community.

With 35,000 square feet of prime retail and restaurant space, the six-story Maitland City Centre encompasses a three-acre full city block with bustling sidewalks, trendy dining venues, high-end retail establishments and everyday conveniences making the project not only a lifestyle, but also a destination.

Designed to embody the Mediterranean-style architectural features inspired by the Cultural Corridor and City Hall, Maitland City Centre will be comprised of 220 one- and two-bedroom stylish rental apartments with garden terraces and balconies, 24 live + work units and 10 fully furnished offices, conference rooms and business center that seamlessly incorporate contemporary design and refined elegance throughout while being complemented by resort-like amenities.
